Roof repair is the process of fixing or replacing damaged or worn components of a roof, such as shingles, flashing, or underlayment, to maintain the integrity of the roof and prevent leaks or other damage.

Signs your car's roof lining needs repair include sagging fabric, rips or tears, foam showing through lining, stains, loose edges or detachment, and water leaks coming from the headliner area. Even minor damage should be addressed quickly before it worsens.

For small tears, a vinyl and fabric repair patch glued on both sides of the moonroofs or sunroof tear can often fix it. Larger rips may need the section cut out and a replacement patch glued in place. Badly damaged linings may need partial or full replacement. OEM roof linings provide an exact fit and restore original appearance but cost more. Aftermarket options are affordable but may not fit quite as precisely. For older cars, OEM materials may not be available. Discuss options with your upholstery shop based on your needs.

To maximise your car roof lining's lifespan, regularly clean it gently, treat stains quickly, and protect the interior from moisture and UV rays. Avoid picking at seams or hanging objects that could abrade it. Also address windshield or sunroof leaks right away to prevent water damage.
